Pardon my absence around here.  Things have been very busy to say the least!

Today I wanted to share my views on the brand new Diaper Genie II Elite from Playtex.  I own this and love it!  You see, there once was a time where we all of the sudden start smelling these, well, these unpleasant odors and couldn’t figure out where they were coming from.  Then BAM! It was the trash that had all the smelly diapers in it.

Then one day, I got this big box in the mail that held the Diaper Genie in it.  I snapped the two pieces together, inserted the roll of bags, tied the knot and viola!  I had a stinky diaper holder at my disposal.

What’s so great about it?

Well first off, it’s super easy to set up and use.  You never touch the lid because it has a foot pedal at the bottom to use.  This raises the lid where you’ll immediately notice another “filter” that closes.  You throw your diaper in there and when you take your foot off the pedal, the lid closes and that “filter” opens to let the diaper in with the other stinky diapers. This keeps the odors where they belong, in the diaper pail.  And it works I tell ya!  I know you think that when you open the lid that smells will come oozing out but they don’t thanks to that second open/close layer in there.

When the bag is full…..

So know the bag is full and it’s time to empty it.  You’re thinking, yuck but it’s not so yuck I promise.  You simply push a button to release the top half of the diaper genie.  It folds back.  You grab the bag and cut it using the built in SAFE cutter!  How cool is that right?!  Now tie your knot on the full bag and toss.  Then you tie a knot on where you cut the old full bag off and pull down the length of the pail.   Bring the top half of the pail to it’s upright position and you’re done!  It’s super easy and you’ll be amazed at how many diapers that thing will hold.
